04 airbag passenger stage 1. Jul 18, 2024 · When you turn the ignition off a back on it returns the fault code is then 04 airbag passenger stage 1. These appeared after taking car in for airbag recall. Reading posts about this fault it pointed to the clock ring but I found a post saying you can bypass the clock ring because the connection under the steering column was the same. On the positive battery cable there's a black plastic bit around the cable itself, with a couple of small wires going to it.
